- The Spartans are born for battle at around 5000 BC, any new born baby that is born is instantly checked for defects in the body if the baby had and defects in its body it would be left on a hill sided to starve to death. The spartans believe that if you had defects in your body from a baby you would not even last the in the unique spartan training program.
- They would train ordinary boys into killing machines. At age 7 each spartan boy is taken from his family and placed in military training camp, every young boy would live their and train all his life until he was ready to fight for the spartans. They would teach you not to cry and to see if you were tough enough for the spartans they would split you into groups to see how long you could last being flogged, Who ever lasted the longest got treated better and was highly honoured. Once he has survived the spartan traning designed to weed out the week, he has learned to kill or be killed.
The spartans had 2 kings for every region. The Spartans were considered the most fearsome army of the ancient world and some say that in several cases that just the symbols of the spartans had scared some of the enemies away with out a fight. Before every battle the spartan woman would give the shields to the men and say "H TAN H ENI TAE" which basically meant "come back victorious with you shield or dead on it". In Sparta the tombs had no names on them unless the person who was buried in it was a man who was killed battling for Sparta or a woman who died while she was giving birth to a child and that is because both actions were considered a service for the state.
